The activities keep the keeps engaged. It is the responsibility of the teacher to make sure that each child is given an equal opportunity to participate and to be involved. Children are usually seated in a circle- on floors or on chairs, whatever is required and available. They pass an object around the circle to decide whose chance it is to speak. The activities can include musical games, talking and listening activities, drama and so on. Circle time acts as a tool not just for the children to interact with each other but also a tool for the teachers and the children to connect. The children in primary schools haven’t yet developed social, emotional or communicational skills. This designated time helps them in doing so. Usually, the whole class has to participate with their teacher acting as a moderator. The form of the circle also encourages skills like unity, working together, respecting each other and working towards a common goal.
