The first level of our learning program offers a session to help ‘ease’ the children out of their home and into a more affable childcare setting and learning environment. A place where they can play, learn and have fun with other children of a similar age, introducing them to the ways of education without a parent or guardian present. As one of the best playschools in Rohini, facilitators are trained to build confidence in the little ones, to allow them to open up and shed any inhibitions or reservations, they may naturally have, being at home with their parents. We have a play-based approach where your child can build imagination, learn social skills & practice to solve problems.
Nursery is suitable for starting informal & formal learning experiences that generates a positive foundation for preschool. This level is for children to interact with more people other than their parents. Here the child is prepared to work 1 on 1 with an instructor for the first time. The children are introduced to a more structured day with interesting activities, group interactions etc. The curriculum and activities included in this level are specifically designed to help the child build social, emotional, linguistic, cognitive and physical skills. Here the child is also encouraged to learn new skills, grow and discover as per his/her developmental milestone.
While learning is experiential at all these levels, the four skills that are crucial to the learning process – Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing are developed so that the foundation of language learning is strong. Similarly, the teaching of numeracy skills focuses on quantification and recognition of numbers, along with formation and sequencing. Awareness about one’s surroundings is developed through inquiry, exploration and experimentation. Both critical and creative thinking skills are developed through the interactive sessions that our Shri Educators transact in the classroom. Readiness for Junior School, where the quantum of learning increases considerably, is what the facilitators of the Pre-Primary classes aim to achieve. Click here for a trial class. The curriculum for Pyaare Kadam would be play-based and child-centred, recognising the student's multiple intelligences and encouraging creative thinking. A day at the Pre-Primary would involve free play, both indoors and outdoors, and structured time. The indoor free-play would be based around a series of activities such as Dramatic Play, Sensorial Learning, Choice Time Activities, Role Play, Art and Discovery Hour/Wonder Time. Pre-writing and pre-math skills are introduced here. The progression of concepts in these two subjects is carefully designed to make learning meaningful and fun.
At The Shri Ram Wonder Years Children learn to engage effectively with others by listening and being listened to, articulating thoughts and ideas, widening one’s vocabulary, role-play, pre-reading and pre-writing skills.
Learning happens through play by linking concepts with art, music, dance, drama and physical activity. Emphasis is on a balance between indoor and outdoor activities.
