We at B.V.M. Public School not just educate students for their future jobs but to inculcate a lifelong process which creates a decision making mechanism fueled by moral and ethical values. We believe that parents, School authorities and students are a team and should complement each other’s efforts. With extreme pleasure and pride I extend my felicitations to BVM Public School for bringing out the this edition of the school magazine, Footprints of BVM. The significance of it can be estimated by the fact that it is the most appropriate medium of expression of the student’s articulate and genuine thoughts. It encourages creativity in the students which is an indispensable part of the school curriculum aimed at overall personality development. My close interaction with the school as Founder has revealed the tremendous potential the school has in making a definite and meaningful contribution in the all round development of our younger generation. The school, in this short span of time, has made rapid strides in all spheres and is striving hard to achieve higher standards of excellence. This achievement shows the earnest dedication and the hard work put in by the Principal and Staff of the School.

The curriculum for classes I-VIII is designed keeping in view the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation(CCE) introduced by CBSE. For classes IX and X, the curriculum prescribed by CBSE is strictly adhered to. CCE is an evaluation technique to provide holistic profile of the learner through the regular assessments of scholastic and co-scholastic domains of the learner. This scheme aims at making evaluation an integral part of the teaching learning process. It helps to identify the learning gaps and makes it possible to take remedial and enrichment measures specific to each learner.

At BVM, New Delhi, we have the Smart Class concept also in practice. What might otherwise seem dull or monotonous with just text-book studies, becomes bright, and captivating in the flash and animation movies, which re-affirm the concepts already taught in class. This makes the process of learning fun and also ensures the lasting impact on the minds of today’s generation. Over all it makes learning fun and improve academic performance.
